Cameroon Initiatives
At the heart of the Mandla's Foundation’s global outreach is our work in Cameroon. We believe that true empowerment begins with dignity, care, and opportunity.

Who is Mandla?
At just 12 years old, Mandla was a bright, big-hearted girl with dreams of healing others as a doctor and one day becoming a loving mother. Tragically, her life was cut short in a car accident on August 10, 2019, while traveling with her parents from the Unites states back to Canada. Though her time with us was far too brief, her radiant spirit remains undimmed. Mandla was selfless—always thinking of others, eager to lend a hand, and deeply committed to giving back to her community. Her boundless compassion, joyful energy, and beautiful light touched everyone she met, and today, they serve as the guiding inspiration for the movement that proudly bears her name.
Our Values
The light of Mandla continues to shine
To ensure her light never fades, The Mandla's Foundation was established to carry forward her dream of a better world. In her memory, we are dedicated to uplifting youth, serving our communities, and spreading the love she so freely gave.
Mandla’s light now shines across continents. With initiatives spanning from Fort McMurray to communities in Cameroon, we are raising a generation of young leaders. Whether they are running food drives in Canada or advancing education in Cameroon, these young beacons of hope are keeping Mandla’s spirit alive through everyday acts of service.

I am a LINC program student, I need a digital device to practice my English skills as often as possible so I can get a job. I cannot afford to pay for one so I rented it with Mandla’s Foundation. Thank you.

“Yesterday afternoon Composite High School was honored to receive a donation of multi-cultural literature from Mandla’s Foundation. This donation is in celebration of a young girl who left us too early and goes to celebrate her memory and legacy. We are so thankful to be chosen as the recipient for the first Mandla Day.”

Fort McMurray Public School Division
“We’re filled to the brim with gratitude for the students of Ecole St Paul School and Mandla's Foundation.
Led by Mme. Lachance, the students embarked on the most heartwarming project, sewing small Christmas stockings to be donated to charity… bringing delight to over 20 individuals in our care.
Waypoints finds it incredibly inspiring to see how these young hearts and minds are spreading kindness and making a difference… bringing a bit of extra magic and comfort this season”
